Registering a player
Welcome to the Operation Get Active registration page. Operation Get Active is a health initiative that uses the game of soccer to encourage youth to live active and healthy lifestyles.
COST
OGA cost $20 for the season.
LOCATION
All OGA practices take place at your son/daughter school.
UNIFORM
Participants will receive a jersey once they have completed a minimum of 8 practices. Parents will be responsible to provide shorts for their child to play in.
AGE GROUP
OGA program is for girls and boys who are currently studying in 4th and 5th grade at select elementary schools
PRACTICE
All OGA sites practice twice per week for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Most sessions take place directly after school.
GAMES
All OGA participants will participate in two soccer tournaments during the season: one in the middle of the season and one at the end. All children participate in these tournaments, we do not have any team selection, the aim is for your son/daughter to have a fun positive experience in a competition environment. All tournaments take place at Highland Park Commons. The specific date that your son/daughter school will participate will be displayed in our events section of our website.
COACHES
At every OGA site we strive to have a minimum of one School Employee, from the school where you son/daughter participates, and a minimum of one additional coach. All our coaches, who are not Hamilton County Department of Education employees, complete two background checks. One is for our own organization and the second is with Hamilton County Department of Education.
