Community Outreach Coordinator

Role:
As Operation Get Active Community Outreach Coordinator you will work directly under the supervision of the OGA Director and Coaching Director. As Community Outreach Coordinator you will be responsible for maintaining, seeking and supporting new partnerships. You will engage with various community groups, other non-profit organisations and universities. You will attend community events which have a relevance to our work, such as school board and community neighborhood meetings. You will manage our volunteer program including recruitment and recognition of new and existing volunteers.

At the Chattanooga Football Club Foundation and Operation Get Active, we pride ourselves in being as actively involved in the community as much as we can. We are always open to building new relationships and partnerships with other organizations.


Hours and start date:

  • This is a part time role with a guaranteed 18 hours per week.

  • January 2019


Compensation:

$11 per hour


Description of duties:

  • Work with OGA Director and team to develop and implement a comprehensive and innovative community outreach plan targeting individual, private, and corporate organization’s.

  • Assist in expansion to new schools, YFD centers, and partnerships with new organizations.

  • Work collaboratively with OGA Coaching Director to identify new potential foundation, individual, private, corporate, school and other organization partners.

  • Research and assist in developing plans for expanding OGA’s presence.

  • Representing OGA at community, neighborhood, and school board meetings.

  • Manage our volunteer program including recruitment and recognition of new and existing volunteers.

  • Establish relationship with our communities university’s and educational establishments.

  • Build relationships with the community members around schools, recreation and community centers were we offer Operation Get Active.

  • Assist in social media post and updates.

  • Assist in day to day programming.


Qualifications & experience:

  • Previous community outreach experience

  • Self-starter with the ability to manage time effectively

  • Demonstrates excellence in both oral and written communications. Knowledge of external communications

  • Efficient in excel, microsoft word, basic social media skills

  • Comfortable in public speaking

  • Spanish speaker helpful, not required

  • A passion for the beautiful game of soccer
